How to Rob a Bank
Now that makes for an interesting headline!
I was reading various stories today looking for good ones to post here and found a blog that had a post with a great headline “How to Rob a Bank”. Turns out CNN has a page on their web site with that title all about identity theft. Go check it out here.
One part of the post I disagree with “It should be required viewing with a big quiz at the
end for every person in law enforcement, government, education, health
care, insurance, banking, and business. YOU are the ones who can put a
crimp in ID theft. Your stupidity and lack of respnsibility has brought
us to this point.” I feel that everyone, consumers, business and government ALL need to work TOGETHER to stop identity theft. Certainly businesses could do more, consumers can as well how many people do you know who don’t own a shredder a basic in stoping identity theft? Government can do more as well, like when is Medicare going to switch to an identification number rather than a social security number? Private insurance has done it, why can’t medicare?
