You already knew you were getting ripped off at the gas station…
You just didn’t know how you might be getting ripped off. With gas at $3.25 recently locally it seems like it was just the high price of the gas. Using your credit card at the pump could expose you to identity theft. When you swipe your card in the pump, the pump collects and stores all of the data in the magnetic stripe on the back of your card. In the wrong hands that data could be used to create a counterfeit card.
